Comfort From the Earth’s Crust
Only a few feet beneath the surface, stable temperatures reside in the range of 50°F. Since the earth’s crust is protected from the weather elements absorbing energy from the sun the temperatures remain relatively constant throughout the course of the year’s seasons.
A geothermal HVAC system focuses on using the heat sink/source to provide your home with quality heating, and air conditioning all year round. Since the temperature is sourced from the ground, geothermal units run at efficiencies between 300-600% saving you money with every passing year.
Low Costs and Extreme Longevity
Geothermal systems beat every other HVAC system in two main ways–efficiency and longevity.
- Geothermal systems are more energy efficient because they source the heat from the ground, where temperatures are relatively consistent year-round. Ground or Air Source?
Ground and air source heat pumps represent two different types of heat pumps. There’s no better or worse system, they both have their pros and cons for different homes or situations. We can take a consultative approach to customers who are interested in geothermal heating and cooling, but you might find that an air or water source heat pump is a better fit for your home.
