Why it takes us a week — and them an hour
There are companies in this county writing proposals in your driveway inside an hour. Ask yourself what they measured. A heat pump is engineered for decades of service — the design takes an afternoon to get right and a lifetime to get wrong. Cheap is expensive.

A full Manual J heat-loss calculation
We measure how much heat your house actually loses at Central New York design temperatures — not a number multiplied off your square footage, and never the size printed on the old furnace tag.

Designed in Mitsubishi’s own software
System selection and line-set design run through the manufacturer’s design tools, with the refrigerant charge set by calculated weight rather than guessed.

Nitrogen pressure test on every air-source job
Every joint is pressure-tested with nitrogen before the system is charged — we do not braze on air.

Evacuation below 500 microns
We pull the system down below 500 microns and measure it. Most contractors do not measure it — and cannot show you.

Another company called the unit dead. We washed a filter.

She had our proposal. She went with someone cheaper. This summer that installer told her a power surge had killed the unit and every component needed replacing.

She called us. Our technician reconnected the wiring they had pulled apart and switched it on. It tripped on high pressure. He opened the blower cabinet — so much standing water inside, and so much suction against the panel, he could not lift the cover off. He pulled the filter. It had never once been washed, only vacuumed.

He rinsed it. The system ran. Nothing was dead. Nothing needed replacing. It needed somebody to look properly.
This is not a rare story. Last winter a homeowner who had bought elsewhere called us because she could not reach her own installer’s service department. We spent twenty-five minutes on the phone walking her through a reset so she had heat that night. She was not our customer. We did it anyway.

Should I choose geothermal or an air-source heat pump?
Both are right answers — the right one depends on your house, your land and your budget. Geothermal draws heat from the ground through a buried loop; a cold-climate air-source system draws it from the outdoor air. At the free home assessment our engineers match the system to your home and put the numbers in writing.
Are heat pumps effective in cold Central New York winters?
Yes. Modern cold-climate heat pumps are engineered to deliver strong, efficient heat well below freezing, and we size every system specifically for our region’s winters.
How much can I save with a heat pump?
Savings vary by home and the system you’re replacing, but because a heat pump moves heat instead of burning fuel, many Central New York homes see a meaningful drop in heating and cooling costs.
Do you handle permits and rebate paperwork?
We guide you through the process and file for the New York State incentive programs you qualify for — NYS Clean Heat, NYSEG and RG&E utility programs, and NYSERDA — so going all-electric is as smooth as possible.
